In Greece, historical Kurşunlu Mosque was attacked by unknown perpetrators. This incident is questioned by the Western Thrace Turkish community as it happened after the reopening of the Hagia Sophia as a mosque.
According to the local press in the city of Trikala, it was reported that the entrance door of the mosque was broken in the attack made yesterday morning by unknown people.
Kurşunlu Mosque, built by Sinan Agha the Grand Architect in the 16th century, is closed to worship. The historical work that was restored a while ago is used for the activities of the municipality and the church.
While the evil face of the fanatic mentality came once again into the open by the breaking of the windows of the entrance door of the historical mosque, the fact that the perpetrators of the attacks on the entrance doors and walls of the mosques in both Western Thrace and in different parts of Greece reveals a different dimension of the issue.
