Help to earthquake victims from the Greek Ginners' Association
The management and members of the Greek Ginning Association made donations for the earthquake victims who lost their properties in the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş in Türkiye.
The Greek Ginning Association and its members, located in Thessaloniki, delivered the donations collected during the aid campaign organized within the scope of the earthquakes that took place in Kahramanmaraş in Türkiye, to Consul General Serkan Gedik on Thursday, May 25, at a ceremony held at the Republic of Türkiye Thessaloniki Consulate General.
At the ceremony, Serkan Gedik, Consul General of Thessaloniki, Katerina Capikidu, Director of the Thessaloniki Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Aleksandros Aleksiadis, Director of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Northern Greece Economic and Commercial Affairs Office, DEIK Türkiye-Greece Business Council President Levent Sadik Ahmet, and Greek Ginners' Association President were present where Andonis Siarkos made a greeting speech.
Later, on behalf of the Union, Siarkos presented the donation check to Consul General Gedik.
After the ceremony, the members of the Union visited the Atatürk House in the courtyard of the Consulate General.
In a statement made on the social media account of the Turkish Consulate General in Thessaloniki, Türkiye's Consulate General in Thessaloniki said, "We express our gratitude to the Greek Ginners' Association, which has close commercial relations with Türkiye and friendship ties in this context, for their contribution to Turkish-Greek friendship, Union members, representatives of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We would like to thank the members of the press who were present at the ceremony.”
