EOF recalls batch of Fucidin Antibiotic tablets

The Hellenic Medicines Agency (EOF) has announced the recall of a specific batch of the well-known antibiotic Fucidin in tablet form, commonly used to treat skin infections.

According to the official announcement, the affected batch is C97096 of Fucidin Tablet 250mg/tab x 12 tablets. The recall was initiated due to abnormal findings in a stability control test, which did not meet the required specifications.

EOF clarified that this is a precautionary measure, taken to support the voluntary recall already initiated by the manufacturing company.

The pharmaceutical company LEO Pharma Hellas S.A. is instructed to immediately inform recipients and withdraw the affected batch from the market.

All documentation related to the recall must be retained for at least five (5) years and made available to authorities upon request.
