An elderly woman tragically lost her life after being affected by smoke in a fire that broke out in an apartment.
Incident Details
A small-scale fire occurred at the intersection of Lysandrou and Admitou streets near Attiki Square. Firefighters arrived swiftly and extinguished the blaze. Despite their efforts, they found an elderly woman unconscious inside the apartment. It was determined that she succumbed to smoke inhalation, as no burn marks were found on her body.
Emergency Response
The fire was addressed by three fire trucks, a specialized ladder truck, and 12 firefighters. Investigations into the cause and circumstances of the fire are currently underway, led by the Fire Department’s Special Investigation Unit.
