Extreme risk of fire - state of alarm (risk category 5) is predicted for Friday in the region of Attica (excluding Kythira), according to the Fire Risk Prediction Map.

A very high risk of fire (risk category 4) is predicted for Kythira, the Peloponnese Region and the Regions of Western Greece (Ilia, Achaia), Central Greece (Fokida, Boeotia, Fthiotida, Evia including the island of Skyros) and North Aegean (Lesvos, Chios).
The Fire Department announced that the staff of the Fire Services of the Region of Attica remains on general alert in order to deal with the increased service demands, which have arisen due to the large number of fires as well as the extreme risk of fire (risk category 5).
