Turkish team departs Athens after assisting in wildfire battle

The Turkish team sent to assist Greece in battling a large forest fire in Athens has returned to Türkiye. The team, which included two firefighting planes and a helicopter, was deployed to support firefighting efforts in Athens and has successfully completed its mission.

The Turkish Embassy in Athens shared a message on social media, stating: "Our team from the General Directorate of Forestry, consisting of two planes and a helicopter with a crew of eight, has successfully completed their mission in Athens. They have now returned to Turkey to respond to wildfires in our own country. We proudly bid farewell to our team at the airport. May they have a safe journey and continued success."
