Greta Thunberg at AIA: Israel is escalating genocide and mass destruction
Swedish Greta Thunberg, arriving at Athens International Airport, said international law is being violated by preventing humanitarian aid from reaching Gaza. Referring to detained activists in an Israeli prison, she said the real issue is Israel’s escalation of genocide and mass destruction, occurring with the complicity of governments, institutions, media, and corporations.
Thunberg stressed that the siege, occupation, and oppression must stop, and that attention must remain on Gaza and other suffering regions, including Congo, Sudan, and Afghanistan.
On Monday, 27 Greek members of the Global Sumud Flotilla and 134 activists from 15 European countries returned to Athens from Israel.
