The attack took place late Thursday night in the Kalamaria district of Thessaloniki.

According to initial reports, the victim was found shortly after 10 p.m. bleeding heavily on Argonafton Street with stab wounds to his back. Police officers and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

Paramedics transported the man in critical condition to AHEPA University Hospital, where doctors fought to save his life. He succumbed to his injuries around 12:30 a.m., according to medical sources.

Greek media reported that the victim was a supporter of PAOK FC.

Preliminary findings from the police investigation suggest that the stabbing followed an altercation possibly linked to fan-related disputes.
