Registered unemployment totaled 768,001 persons in October, down 7.8% from October 2024 and up 6.7% in comparison with September 2025, Public Employment Service (DYPA) said in a report released on Thursday.

The report said that a 53.5% of registered unemployed (410,859) were on long-term unemployment, 259,631 (46.5%) were men and 508,370 (66.2%) women.
The 30-44 age group recorded the highest number of unemployed (228,942 or 29.8%). Among the country's regions, Attica and Central Macedonia recorded the highest numbers (253,170 and 154,632 respectively). The number of people receiving unemployment benefits totaled 131,994 in October 2025.
