Five additional airlines have started scheduled flights this summer season to Athens Airport, which is expanding its offerings for passengers. These are World2Fly, Air Haifa, Air Albania, Sky Up and Sichuan Air.

Spain’s World2Fly links Athens with Madrid, Air Haifa adds the Israeli city to the airports connected with Athens, and Chinese airline Sichuan Air is for the first time offering direct flights between Greece and western China – i.e. the city of Chengdu.

Meanwhile, Air Albania is returning to Greece after two years to offer its Athens-Tirana service again, while Ukrainian carrier Sky Up recently launched its service to the Moldovan capital of Chisinau.
