Couples who have decided to follow different paths for tax purposes should know that as of this year, the tax “divorce” is permanent: Those who declare by February 28 on the platform of the Independent Authority of Public Revenue (AADE) that they will file a separate tax return this year will not need to declare their specific choice again in the following years. They will only visit the platform again if they wish to revoke their choice.
