AEGEAN, Air China sign codeshare deal

AEGEAN Airlines and Air China have signed a codeshare agreement to boost travel between Greece and China.
Starting in May 2026, passengers will be able to fly from Athens to Beijing and connect to destinations such as Guangzhou through Air China’s network, while also accessing Greek destinations including Heraklion, Santorini, Rhodes and Thessaloniki via AEGEAN.
The deal is expected to improve connectivity and provide more flexible travel options. Air China currently operates three weekly Beijing–Athens flights and plans to increase them to five during the summer season.
The agreement was signed in Rome, with both airlines also exploring further cooperation through the Star Alliance.
