Eurovision 2027 to take place in Burgas, Bulgaria
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Bulgarian public broadcaster BNT announced that the Black Sea city will host the contest following Bulgaria’s first-ever Eurovision victory in 2026.
Arena Burgas to host Eurovision 2027
The semifinals and final will be held at Arena Burgas, one of Bulgaria’s newest sports and entertainment venues.
The arena opened in 2023 and will become the main venue for the three Eurovision 2027 live shows.
The contest will take place on Tuesday, May 11, Thursday, May 13, and Saturday, May 15, 2027.
Bulgaria to host after historic Eurovision victory
Bulgaria secured its first Eurovision Song Contest victory in 2026 when singer DARA won the competition in Vienna with the song “Bangaranga.”
The victory means Bulgaria will host the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time.
The decision to hold the contest in Burgas also brings Eurovision to Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, with the city expected to welcome thousands of international visitors, fans and delegations for the event.
The 2027 contest will mark the 71st edition of Eurovision, one of the world’s largest televised music competitions.
