Agreement focuses on fighting organised crime, tackling illegal migration and enhancing cross-border policing.
Greece and Bulgaria have signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation against organised crime, manage migration flows and improve security in the Balkans.
The deal, signed in Sofia by Greek Minister of Citizen Protection Michalis Chrysochoidis and Bulgarian Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev, expands cooperation at the Kulata-Promachonas Joint Police Cooperation Contact Centre, a key border crossing used by criminal networks involved in drug, arms and migrant smuggling.
The two countries also signed a protocol and joint declaration to further enhance cross-border police cooperation.
