According to local media reports, a fire broke out in a nightclub in Kochani, about 100 kilometres from the capital Skopje, at 03.00 local time.
According to the first determinations, 51 people lost their lives and more than 100 people were injured in the fire that occurred after the use of pyrotechnic substances.
The wounded were taken to hospitals in various cities, especially in Skopje.
