Four news agencies including ANA-MPA join forces on the climate crisis

Four news agencies signed a joint statement on the protection of Mediterranean forests from fire, and awareness campaigns for the public.

Greece's Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA-MPA), Italy's ANSA, Spain's EFE and Türkiye's Anadolu Agency signed the agreement in Istanbul on the sidelines of the Environmental Forum organized by Anadolu.

ANA-MPA was represented by its president and director general, Emilios Perdikaris.

The four news agencies will hold a working meeting on how to collaborate and how to best convey to the public the need for the protection of forests.

Anadolu's forum focused on the stance of media before climate change and the environment, as well as the role agencies should play in informing the public and making them more sensitive to the issue.

"We assessed the climate and environmental crisis through the different viewpoints of journalists and agencies of various countries, and through the representatives of international organizations who attended," Anadolu Chairman of the Board and Director General Serdar Karagöz said in his closing statements.
