Drone attack targets Sumud Flotilla in Greek SAR Zone

The Global Sumud Flotilla, sailing from Greece to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, came under attack by drones in Greece’s Search and Rescue (SAR) responsibility zone, according to an announcement by March to Gaza Greece.
The incident occurred around 02:00 local time and targeted eight vessels of the flotilla. The statement said that drones deployed sound bombs, chemical substances, and electronic jammers during the assault.
Although the vessels sustained minor damage, organizers stressed that the flotilla is “continuing its journey with determination.”
The statement also reminded that the Hellenic Coast Guard is responsible for safeguarding all vessels and human life within its SAR zone. It urged the Greek government and Coast Guard to take immediate action to prevent a potential tragedy.
