Zeybek criticizes delay in launch of OSDE 2026 farm aid platform
Greek MP Hüseyin Zeybek has criticized the continued delay in the launch of the OSDE 2026 declaration platform, warning that thousands of farmers remain unable to submit applications for European Union agricultural subsidies.
In a public statement, Zeybek said the electronic platform had still not become operational despite earlier assurances that it would open on June 22. He argued that the delay is creating uncertainty for producers and increasing pressure on farmers already facing economic challenges.
The lawmaker called on the Ministry of Rural Development and Food to immediately activate the system and provide clear information regarding the submission timetable.
The OSDE platform is the primary digital system through which farmers in Greece submit annual declarations required to receive Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) payments from the European Union.
Zeybek said the government must ensure farmers are able to complete their applications without unnecessary delays or administrative obstacles.
