Young woman arrested over alleged fatal stabbing in Rodopi

A 21-year-old woman has been taken into custody after allegedly fatally stabbing a 66-year-old man outside his home in the remote village of Gerdeme (Kardamos), near the Greek-Bulgarian border.
A 21-year-old woman has been taken into custody after allegedly fatally stabbing a 66-year-old man outside his home in the remote village of Gerdeme (Kardamos), near the Greek-Bulgarian border in Rodopi region.
The woman reportedly fled the scene following the attack but was located shortly afterward by police and brought in for questioning at the Gümülcine (Komotini) police station.
Officers, accompanied by a coroner, found the victim with a deep wound to his left shoulder, believed to have been caused by a knife or other sharp object.
According to initial reports, the fatal injury occurred during a dispute between the two. Authorities have not confirmed whether the suspect and victim knew each other, and the motive remains unclear.
