Xanthi Turkish Union visit from CHP delegation
The delegation of the Republican People's Party, which came to Xanthi to attend the funeral of the Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Mete, visited Xanthi Turkish Union.
The delegation headed by CHP Deputy Chairman Faik Öztrak was welcomed by Xanthi Turkish Union President Ozan Ahmetoğlu and other executives.
ITB President Ahmetoğlu wished God's mercy to the deceased Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Mete and thanked the delegation for their visit.
Ozan Ahmetoğlu gave brief information about the establishment of the Xanthi Turkish Union, its activities, history and 39 years of struggle for rights.
Türkiye's main opposition party CHP Deputy Chairman Faik Öztrak also stated in his speech that they knew the importance of the Xanthi Turkish Union for the Western Thrace Turkish Community and said that they also visited the ITB on the occasion of the mufti Ahmet Mete's funeral.
Emphasizing that they closely follow the struggle for rights, Faik Öztrak stated that as Turkey, they stand by the Xanthi Turkish Union and the Western Thrace Turks in this struggle.
Öztrak also thanked ITB for the hospitality.
After the speeches, ITB President Ozan Ahmetoğlu presented a gift to the guests in memory of the visit.
