Western Thrace Turks meet at the Mechede Association's iftar
ABTTF President Halit Habipoğlu, ABTTF Vice President Aydın Ahmet, leaders of mosques and Turkish associations in Meschede and Western Thrace Turks living in and around Meschede attended the iftar dinner organised at the clubhouse of Meschede Association of Western Thrace Turks.
After the call to prayer recited by Ahmet Fazlı, a member of Meschede association, the guests broke the fast together.
ABTTF President Halit Habipoğlu and ABTTF Vice President Aydın Ahmet made welcoming speeches at the iftar dinner.
ABTTF President Halit Habipoğlu emphasised that iftar dinners and other cultural and social events reinforce the unity and solidarity among Western Thrace Turks living in Germany.
In his speech, Habipoğlu wished God's mercy to Mehmet İmam, one of the members of Meschede Association, who passed away two weeks ago, and congratulated those who contributed to the organisation of the iftar dinner, especially the President of Meschede Association Tuncay Kara Çoban and the members of the executive board.
The iftar programme ended with coffee and tea being served to the guests.
