Western Thrace Turkish delegation attended the OSCE Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting

The Western Thrace Turkish delegation stated that the Western Thrace Turkish community was not included in the legislative and decision-making process on matters that directly concern them.

The Western Thrace Turks Higher Educateds Association stated that despite the ECHR's decree on Xanthi (İskeçe) Turkish Union, Rodop Province Turkish Women Cultural Association and Meriç (Evros) Province Minority Youth Association.

Federation of Western Thrace Turks in Europe on the other hand, referred to the same topics mentioned above, as well as the denial Turkish identity, and problems on political representation.

Using the right to respond in both sessions, Greece stated that the Greek state only recognizes the "Muslim minority" in Western Thrace and claimed that people belonging to the minority actively participate in all aspects of daily public, civil and political life at both regional and national levels.
