Veteran imam of Xanthi Hurriyet Mosque handed over his duty
Muharrem Budur, the Imam of the Xanthi (İskeçe) Hürriyet Mahallesi Mosque, has retired.
Muharrem Budur, the veteran imam of the Hürriyet Mahalle Mosque in Xanthi, handed over his duty to the new imam, Hafız Mahmut Deli, in the mosque where he served as imam for nearly 30 years.
On Friday, December 16, before the Friday prayer, veteran imam Muharrem Budur dressed the new imam, Hafız Mahmut Deli, in his robe. Deputy Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Hraloğlu was also present at the handover ceremony at the Hürriyet Mosque.
In his short speech, Deputy Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Hraloğlu thanked Muharrem Budur, who served as imam at Hürriyet Mosque for many years and looked after the mosque, almost identified with Hürriyet Mosque and trained many students.
Deputy Mufti Hraloğlu conveyed the greetings of the Elected Mufti of Xanthi, Mustafa Trampa, and stated that Mufti Trampa also thanked Imam Muharrem for his services and conveyed his wishes to Hafız Mahmut Deli, who has just started working, for success in his duty.
