Traditional iftar held in Musaköy and Çilingir neighbourhood
The iftar programme organised by the Education and Culture Association in Musaköy in the South Evros region took place on Saturday evening, April 1. Consul General of Türkiye to Komotini Ayku Ünal, President of the Advisory Board of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif and heads and executives of non-governmental organisations attended the iftar programme in Musaköy.
The iftar enthusiasm in Evros region continued on 3 April Monday evening with the traditional Çilingir neighbourhood iftar.
At the Çilingir neighbourhood iftar, many kinsmen from the neighbouring villages came together and had the joy of iftar together.
Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini Aykut Ünal, President of the Advisory Board of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif and heads and executives of non-governmental organisations attended the iftar.
Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif made a statement on his social media account: "This evening we broke our fast at the iftar table organised by the neighbourhood village of Çilingir in Evros (Evros) province. Thank you to those who organised and contributed".
Traditional village iftar is organised in Çilingir neighbourhood every Ramadan.
