Topsidis meets with Vice-President of the European Commission Shinas
The President of the Region of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace, Christodoulos Topsidis, met with the Vice-President of the European Commission, Margaritis Shinas. The meeting took place in Alexandroupoli.
Informing Shinas about the province, Topsidis explained the plan being worked on for the development of the region. Topsidis gave information about the measures to be taken for a balanced development between the provinces. Stating that the Province of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace is the border of the European Union, Topsidis stated that the sense of security in Evros province should be kept at a high level.
European Commission Vice-President Shinas, noting that he has a special interest in the region, said: "All human-centred policies intersect in Thrace". Explaining that the European Union supports the development policies of the member states, Shinas said that the development of the Eastern Macedonia - Thrace Region has become visible.
