Thrace Tobacco Producers' Cooperative makes statement on tobacco purchases
The Thrace Tobacco Producers' Cooperative has shared the latest figures regarding tobacco transactions for 2024.
In a written statement, the Cooperative reported that the total tobacco purchased by merchants amounted to 671,235.41 kilograms, with an average price of €4.84 per kilogram.
The Cooperative's Board of Directors provided the following breakdown:
SEKE: 223,004 kg | Average: €4.73/kg
MISSIRIAN: 198,808 kg | Average: €4.96/kg
SOCOTAB: 168,591 kg | Average: €4.78/kg
GLAUDIS: 67,062 kg | Average: €4.96/kg
NAKSIADIS: 13,770 kg | Average: €4.93/kg
All payments for the tobacco delivered by December 31, 2024, have been deposited into producers' accounts.
The statement further encouraged members to remain cautious and united when delivering tobacco in 2025, emphasizing that collective patience and cooperation could result in achieving better prices.
The Board concluded with well-wishes:
