Support for Palestine in Komotini!
The Union of Private Sector Civil Servants of Komotini, the Rhodope Peace Commission, the Rhodope Women's Association and the Association of Community Service Students announced that they will organise a demonstration on Thursday 19 October in support of the Palestinian people who are suffering under persecution. The demonstration will start at 18.00.
The demonstration will take place in Komotini city square.
In the joint statement made by the organisations that will organise the demonstration, it was emphasised that they stand by the Palestinian people and that the only solution in the region is the establishment of a Palestinian State.
The statement also called on the Greek government to end all support for the US and Israel, to stop all economic, political and military cooperation with Israel and to recognise the State of Palestine.
In the statement, it was stated that the whole public is invited to the demonstration to be held in the city square of Komotini.
