Students lead blood donation drive in Gümülcine under “give blood, save lives” campaign
Students at Celal Bayar Minority High School organized their annual blood donation campaign, drawing strong participation from across the school community in a long-standing initiative promoting public health and social responsibility.
Held under the slogan “Give Blood, Save Lives,” the campaign marked its 14th edition this year, continuing a tradition led by final-year students.
Broad Participation from School Community
The event, which took place on April 22, saw active involvement not only from students but also from teachers and school administrators.
The campaign was organized under the leadership of school principal Ismail Yucel, who has supported the initiative as part of the school’s broader commitment to civic engagement.
Promoting Social Responsibility and Public Health
School officials emphasized the importance of blood donation for healthcare systems, highlighting the campaign’s dual role in meeting medical needs and fostering a sense of responsibility among young people.
The initiative aims to both contribute to ongoing blood supply needs and instill long-term awareness about the importance of voluntary donation.
A Tradition of Community Contribution
Now a well-established annual event, the campaign has become a cornerstone of the school’s social outreach activities, reinforcing values of solidarity and community service.
Organizers expressed appreciation to all participants, noting that sustained engagement is key to maintaining adequate blood reserves and supporting patients in need.
