Soku, Coordinator of the Prime Ministry of Northern Greece, pays visit to Garanis

On Thursday, 29 February 2024, the Mayor of Komotini Yannis Garanis held a working meeting with the Prime Ministerial Coordinator of Northern Greece, Eleni Soku, who visited him in his office.

During the meeting, which took place in a positive atmosphere, Mayor Garanis informed the coordinator Soku about a number of issues concerning the Municipality of Komotini and related to the responsibilities of the central government.

Soku, who listened to the mayor, discussed the issues conveyed to him in detail in all aspects and promised to convey the issues awaiting solution to the Prime Minister.

During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed the atmosphere of sincere co-operation aimed at serving the common interest. A commitment was made to continue co-operation to resolve some of the problems that disturb citizens.

At the end of the visit, Mayor Garanis presented Mrs Soku with a commemorative book of the Municipality of Komotini and an envelope of commemorative postage stamps for the 100th anniversary since the foundation and liberation of Komotini.
