The rain and storm, which was effective in Xanthi at noon yesterday, caused great damage in the South part of the region.

It was reported that strong winds and hail with rain caused great damage to agricultural lands.

The storm, which was quite effective near the village of Nohullu, caused many power poles and trees to fall.

Heavy rain and hail caused serious damage to corn, pepper, kiwi and sunflower fields, and the roofs of warehouses and barns were blown off.

Xanthi Deputy Burhan Baran visited the damaged areas together with İrfan Hacıgene, State Councilor.
