People of Yalımlı preparing for Mahya event
The Mahya event, which is one of the religious traditions kept alive by the people of Yalımlı but could not be organised for some reasons, is being revived by the people of the village again this year.
Village residents started preparations for the Mahya event to be organised on Sunday. Cleaning works are being carried out inside the village and at the entrances.
Yassıköy Municipality Councillor - Advisor to the Mayor and Yalımlı Village Councilor Ercan Mümin announced on his social media account that the work for the Mahya has started in the village with the women, men and young people of the village.
The religious event in the village on Sunday will start at 11.00 am and end at 14.00 pm.
Within the scope of the event programme, Aşr-ı Şerif and Mevlid-i Şerif will be read by religious officials in Yalımlı Mosque.
Everyone is invited to the event and the residents of Yalımlı, who are preparing to host the cognates in the best way, will offer meat pilaf and ayran to the guests.
