New passport control booths operational at İpsala Border Gate
The Edirne Governor’s Office has announced the commissioning of new passport control booths at the İpsala Border Gate, enhancing speed and comfort for travelers entering Türkiye. The announcement was made via the Governorate’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.
According to the statement, the upgrades aim to reduce waiting times, especially during summer months and peak travel periods, thereby facilitating a smoother return for expatriates visiting their homeland.
“New passport control booths have been established on the entry side to allow travelers entering our country to complete their procedures more quickly and comfortably,” the post read.
This new arrangement is expected to alleviate congestion and delays, particularly for expats traveling by road from Europe to Türkiye, who often face long queues at İpsala during high-traffic seasons.
