Mustafaoğlu: "Let’s protect women and children for an equal world"
Sibel Mustafaoğlu, the President of the Rhodope Prefecture Addiction Prevention Center "Orfeas," shared a video message on her social media account on November 25th, marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Emphasizing that this day serves as a reminder and awareness initiative, Mustafaoğlu highlighted that the fight against violence towards women is a continuous, year-round effort.
In her statement, she said:
“November 25 is an awareness day for the fight against violence towards women because the struggle continues throughout the year. Violence encompasses physical, psychological, sexual, and economic abuse, as well as many other forms that may not immediately come to mind—yet all are violence. Any action aimed at oppressing, belittling, or trapping a woman is defined as violence. As women, we have encountered one or more forms of this throughout our lives. The key is to say 'STOP' loudly and clearly.
Moreover, failing to extend a hand to a woman in need means becoming complicit in the crime and betraying humanity. Let us extend our hands to those women in need, and together, let us protect our women and children for a safer, more equal world.”
