"Mustafa Hilmi Aga community leaders awards" presented in İskeçe

The "Mustafa Hilmi Aga Community Leaders Awards" ceremony, organized by the İskeçe Mufti's Office, was held with a large turnout. The event, now in its third year, honored five individuals for their exemplary contributions to the Western Thrace community across different fields.
Award recipients included Mehmet Trampa for Education, Faik Padingo for Trustee Services, İdris Hasan for Religious Education, Hüseyin Bandak for Politics, and Müberra Karadayı for Culture and Arts.
The ceremony, hosted at the İskeçe branch of the Western Thrace Minority Higher Education Association, began with a Quran recitation by Fatih Kocaahmet. This was followed by opening remarks from İskeçe Mufti Mustafa Trampa and Turkey’s Consul General in Komotini, Aykut Ünal. Mufti Trampa emphasized the importance of preserving the "Western Thrace cause" and praised the legacy of Mustafa Hilmi Aga. Consul General Ünal highlighted the significance of faith and determination in advancing community efforts.
The program also featured a documentary on the life of Mustafa Hilmi Aga and a panel discussion moderated by Rıdvan Topçu, with contributions from Mufti Deputy Ahmet Hraloğlu and former Koyunköy municipal leader Hüseyin Bandak.
Following the panel, music teacher Özcan Kalfa performed a selection of songs, captivating the audience. The awards were presented by Consul General Aykut Ünal, Mufti Mustafa Trampa, MP Hüseyin Zeybek, Mustafçova Mayor Ahmet Kurt, and Deputy Mufti Fatma İmam.
