Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa attends Turkish Diaspora Symposium

The event was hosted by Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University in collaboration with the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).
Among the key attendees from Western Thrace were Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa, lawyer and daughter of Dr. Sadık Ahmet, Funda Sadık Ahmet, and Necmettin Kahya, President of the Seçek Minority Education and Culture Association. The symposium featured five panels and sessions, with numerous speakers addressing a wide range of topics related to the Turkish diaspora.
Funda Sadık Ahmet delivered a presentation titled Identity Rights of the Western Thrace Turks and Greece’s Identity Policies: A Legal Perspective during the second panel on the first day. Mufti Mustafa Trampa also addressed the audience, speaking on The Issues of the Western Thrace Turks, where he discussed the longstanding challenges faced by the Turkish minority in Greece. Necmettin Kahya, on the second day, provided insights on the Alevi Bektashi community living in Western Thrace during the fourth session.
The symposium served as a platform for discussing the experiences and concerns of Turkish communities worldwide, with a particular focus on the Western Thrace Turkish minority.
