MP Giota Poulou leaves Kasselakis' Democrats party

Independent MP Giota Poulou has announced her departure from Stefanos Kasselakis' Democrats – Progressive Centre, marking another setback for the party as it continues to lose parliamentary support.
Poulou said her decision followed political disagreements and concerns over the party's direction. Her departure leaves Kasselakis with only one remaining MP who originally backed his political initiative after the split from SYRIZA.
The latest resignation adds to a series of defections that have weakened the parliamentary presence of the Democrats – Progressive Centre since its formation.
