Kızılelma distinguished service award presented to Işık Sadık Ahmet
Işık Sadık Ahmet, widow of the late Dr. Sadık Ahmet from Western Thrace and Honorary President of the FEP Party, has been honored with the “Kızılelma Turkish World Distinguished Service Award.”
The awards ceremony took place on Saturday, September 20, at the Ulucanlar Prison Museum in Ankara, where honorees were recognized for their contributions to the unity and cultural heritage of the Turkic world.
In a written statement following the event, Işık Sadık Ahmet expressed her gratitude:
“Today in Ankara, I had the honor of receiving the Kızılelma Turkish World Distinguished Service Award, presented by the Kızılelma Women, Youth, and Children Association. Receiving this meaningful award, which reflects the unity, solidarity, and cultural richness of the Turkic world, from my dear friend, Azerbaijani MP Tenzile Rustemhanli, was a special source of pride.
I accept this award not only on my behalf but also as a tribute to the cause of my late husband Dr. Sadık Ahmet, to the struggle of the Turks of Western Thrace, and to the shared values of the Turkic world.
I thank the Kızılelma Women, Youth, and Children Association for this recognition and wish for every effort made toward the common future of the Turkic world to continue.”
