Joint military exercise between Greece and the USA in Xanthi
The USA and Greece launched a joint exercise in Kayalar (Petrohori) village in Xanthi province.
It was announced that the joint military exercise called “Olympic Cooperation - 22” started after the ceremony held at the shooting range in Kayalar (Petrohori) village of the 4th Corps Command in Xanthi.
The armed forces of the USA and Greece carried out the "Olympic Cooperation - 21" military exercise in the same region last year.
It is estimated that approximately 200 US soldiers participated in the "Olympic Cooperation - 22" military exercise held this year with the participation of tanks belonging to the US and Greek armored units.
In addition to the Leopard and Abrams tanks, Skorsky, Apache, Kiowa Warriors and Chinook helicopters are also involved in the exercise. It is reported that the exercise will end on Friday, October 21.
