İskeçe Muftiate announces fitre and zekat amounts for 2025
The official statement includes the zakat values for gold, cash, livestock, and other assets, as well as the fitrah and fidya amounts for those unable to fast.
Details regarding these values and their calculation methods will be shared on the İskeçe Müftülüğü’s official channels.
ZAKAT AND FITR VALUES
1-
a) The zakat threshold for gold is 80.18 grams.
b) The zakat threshold for cash: 80.18 g × 90 € = 7,216.20 €
(Note: The zakat threshold for cash has been calculated based on the fatwa of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Turkey, considering the price of 24-karat gold.)
c) Zakat for liras and five-piece gold coins:
For 1 Reshat lira: 595.20 × 2.5% = 14.88 €
For 1 English lira: 660 × 2.5% = 16.50 €
For 1 Republic gold coin: 595.20 × 2.5% = 14.88 €
For 1 Five-piece gold coin: 2976 × 2.5% = 74.40 € zakat is required.
