Initiatives for a new school building for Xanthi Minority Secondary School - High School continue

Xanthi Minority Secondary School - High School Board of Councillors and Parent-Teacher Association applied to "Building Infrastructures Inc.", which is responsible for the construction of schools, hospitals, courthouses and other public buildings.

In the letter sent, the need for a new school building for Xanthi Minority Secondary School - High School was expressed with all justifications. It was emphasised that the physical conditions of the school are inadequate and that it is impossible to carry out sportive and cultural activities in the school yard under normal conditions. It was stated in the letter that due to the inadequacy of the school building, the shift education system had to be implemented in the past and that the solution of the building problem is essential both in terms of education and pedagogy and in terms of security.

It is noted that the building problem is within the knowledge of the Province of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace, the Municipality of Xanthi, the Ministry of Education, the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic of Thrace, thanks to the information, reports and parliamentary questions submitted by the Board of Councillors, the PTA and the MPs of the region, but despite this, no final solution to the building problem has been found so far.

In the application made to "Building Infrastructures A.Ş." (ΚτιριακέςΥποδομές Α.Ε.) with the signature of Ozan Ahmetoğlu, Chairman of the Council and Cemalettin Efendi, Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association, a request was made for the construction of a new school building in Xanthi with a capacity of at least 700 students, which will include classrooms, principal's room, deputy principal's room, gymnasium, computer room, fine arts room, library, canteen, toilets, storerooms and other auxiliary sections.

The letter was sent to "Building Infrastructures A.S." (ΚτιριακέςΥποδομές Α.Ε.) as well as to the Ministry of Education, Eastern Macedonia - Thrace Province, Eastern Macedonia - Thrace Provincial Directorate of Education, Minority Education Coordinator and the MPs of Xanthi.
