Handicrafts by Turkish women of Western Thrace exhibited in Komotini
The Komotini Turkish Youth Union (GTGB) hosted the Traditional Sewing, Embroidery, and Handicrafts Exhibition, showcasing the year-long efforts of participants from 12 craft courses.
A Celebration of Creativity
Held on the evening of December 20, 2024, at a hotel in Komotini, the exhibition featured a variety of works, including sewing, embroidery, handicrafts, quilling, and marbling art.
The event began at 6:00 PM with opening speeches. GTGB President Sedat Hasan provided details about the courses and the showcased works. Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board (BTTADK) President and Komotini Mufti İbrahim Şerif, along with Türkiye's Consul General in Komotini, Aykut Ünal, also addressed the audience, congratulating the instructors and participants.
Diverse Participation
Following the speeches, attendees explored the displays, interacting with students and instructors to learn about the creative processes behind the handicrafts.
