Gümülcine hosts “Greece Youth Forum” under Erasmus+ Program
The Municipality of Gümülcine is hosting a major youth gathering as part of the “Youth Think City Links” project under the Erasmus+ Youth program. Titled “Designing the Future Together,” the Greece Youth Forum is taking place from 5–7 December 2025 at the Old Law School Amphitheatre in Gümülcine.
A Platform for Youth Participation and Policy Dialogue
The Forum brings together young people from across Greece with the aim of strengthening active citizenship, enhancing democratic participation, and ensuring that youth policies are shaped in cooperation with young people themselves. The event is jointly organized by the “exagono” Youth and Volunteering Center and the Gümülcine Youth Municipal Council.
Following the principles of the European Youth Dialogue, the Forum will operate through five thematic working groups. Participants will develop policy proposals on:
- Quality employment
- Access to information and constructive dialogue
- Youth organizations and European programs
- Sustainable green transition
- Inclusive society
- Workshops, Discussions, and Cultural Activities
Throughout the event, young participants will meet with representatives of relevant institutions, engage in discussions, attend workshops, take part in cultural activities, and collaboratively draft outcome documents. The insights produced during the Forum will contribute to shaping both local and national youth strategies.
The Municipality of Gümülcine describes the Forum as “an open festival of participation that showcases the creativity, energy, and voice of the youth regarding the future.”
