Governor Topsidis re-elected as President of Meriç Chamber of Commerce
On December 9, 2024, Governor Topsidis was re-elected as the president of the Meriç Chamber of Commerce. His list was the only one running in the elections, following the withdrawal of Eleni Nalbanti from Kumçiftliği and Kiriakos Aetopoulos, who resigned from his position as Deputy Mayor of Dedeağaç to prepare for the presidency.
With a total of 3,000 members, the Meriç Chamber of Commerce saw 1,794 members casting their votes. A total of 21 members were elected to the board of directors from five sections of the Chamber.
Topsidis led the "Geleceğe Giriş" (Entering the Future) list, which, just like in the 2017 elections, ran unopposed in 2024. A total of 100 candidates competed for the 21 positions on the board.
In his statement, Topsidis thanked all the members who participated in the elections and supported his team. He emphasized that, as in the past, they would continue to work together to take steps forward for the betterment of the Chamber.
