Garbage truck trapped after road collapse in İskeçe
An unusual incident occurred on Sunday morning near the city center of İskeçe, where a municipal garbage truck became trapped in a sinkhole that suddenly formed on the roadway during routine waste collection operations.
The incident took place on Andreu Dimitriou Street, a busy urban road close to central İskeçe. According to initial assessments, the collapse was likely caused by recent infrastructure works combined with heavy rainfall, which weakened the road surface and led to subsidence.
