Fire breaks out in the Mehrikoz region

A fire broke out yesterday in Mehrikoz area of Kozlukebir Municipality.
It is estimated that the fire that started on the Mehrikoz-Baldıran roadside was caused by a cigarette butt thrown from a vehicle.
It was stated that the fire, which broke out 500 metres before the second exit of the road entering the Monastery Quarter, was brought under control without the need for the arrival of extinguishing planes with the intervention of fire trucks and employees who went to the region.
Vehicles and staff of Kozlukebir Municipality and Komotini Municipality also accompanied the fire extinguishing works.
