Fire breaks out in a two-story building in Komotini
A fire erupted this afternoon in a two-story building located next to Celal Bayar Minority High School in Komotini.
The fire started on the roof of the building situated at the intersection of Ahialu, Arda, and Grigoriu Marasli streets. Witnesses quickly notified the Komotini Fire Department, and fire trucks promptly arrived at the scene.
Firefighters immediately began efforts to extinguish the flames. Additional vehicles were dispatched to the area to assist in the ongoing firefighting and containment operations.
The ground floor of the building houses a business, while the fire originated on the roof.
Although no official statement has been made, initial assessments suggest the fire may have been caused by electrical cables in a small room on the roof. Efforts to extinguish the fire are still underway.
