EMT to host the Greek Union of Regions Congress

The Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (DMTE) will host the Greek Union of Regions' regular congress on November 18-19, 2024. The assembly, themed "Regions Facing Challenges: Institutional Reform and the Climate Crisis," will take place at the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Thraki hotel in Alexandroupoli.
Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Regional Governor Christodoulos Topsidis commented on the significance of the event, stating, "Our region is hosting an important gathering where government officials, regional governors, local government representatives, and organization leaders will discuss key topics such as institutional reform, the environment, and the climate crisis."
The congress will open on Monday, November 18, at 11:00 a.m., with an address by Regional Governor and Congress President Christodoulos Topsidis. Following the welcoming remarks, Interior Minister Theodoros Livanios and Greek Union of Regions President and Central Macedonia Regional Governor Apostolos Tzitzikostas will deliver speeches.
