Eleni Laftsi announced her resignation from SYRIZA after being called to testify by her party
In her post, Eleni Laftsi said, "I cannot accept being in a position where I am constantly testifying for the attitude of a party that tolerates and covers up the behaviour of a Muslim MP".
As it will be remembered, Eleni Laftsi could not digest the election of Özgür Ferhat in a different way when her husband Dimitris Haritou could not be elected as an MP and claimed that the Turkish consulate in Komotini interfered in the elections.
