Election at the Rodopi Chamber of Commerce & Industry set for November 15
The new board will be composed of 21 members, divided into sections: 16 from the Commercial Division, 3 from the Manufacturing Division, and 2 from the Services Division.
Currently, the only candidate running for re-election as president is the incumbent, Nikos Angelidis. Those wishing to run for council positions must be part of a slate and meet the legal qualifications as outlined in Article 72 of Law 4497/2017. Each candidate list must include at least twice the number of candidates required for each division. Additionally, at least one-third of the total number of candidates must be from each gender.
Candidates must submit their application by October 16, 2024, along with a €50 fee and a sworn statement confirming their eligibility.
Voting is open to members who have been registered for at least a year before the election (by November 14, 2023) and have settled their financial obligations by October 6, 2024. Voting will be conducted by secret ballot.
The Election Committee office is open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekdays, and from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekends for specific deadlines.
