Eastern Macedonia and Thrace promoted at International Tourism Fair in Paris

The Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace showcased its tourism potential at the IFTM Top Resa 2025, an international tourism fair held in Paris from September 23–25, 2025. The event is considered one of Europe’s three largest tourism fairs.

The regional delegation was led by Panayotis Arhondis, Vice Governor responsible for Tourism, along with a team of tourism officials. During the fair, Arhondis met with Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni to discuss potential airline partnerships, media promotion in France, and future marketing strategies. The delegation also engaged with tourism authorities from various countries.

“France is one of our priority tourism markets, and special attention is being given to promoting our region there,” Arhondis said.

Following the fair, the delegation participated in a special event on September 26 as part of the “Open Days Tourism” campaign, concluding with an official reception at the Greek Embassy Residence in Paris.

Looking ahead, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace plan to continue their promotional efforts at an upcoming international tourism fair in London.
